Although a group of trees is called a forest, each tree is a tree and nothing more - 'forest' only being an idea in the mind.
Krishna asks us to destroy this tree of ignorance by non-attachment.
But we cling to its many branches.
We name them 'pleasure' and 'pain', 'happiness' and 'unhappiness', and then enter into a relationship with them.
We love some and hate others, thus courting endless agony and anxiety.
When we ask someone else to make up our mind, we are literally looking for a scapegoat.
